Description:
Takara Taq™ is a recombinant, thermostable, 94 kDa DNA polymerase encoded by the DNA polymerase gene of the Thermus aquaticus YT-1 strain which has been cloned into Escherichia coli. It has been shown to have essentially the same characteristics as native Taq DNA polymerase.
TaKaRa Taq™ is a versatile thermostable DNA polymerase suitable for a variety of standard PCR applications. The enzyme is also supplied in a premix format (a mixture of enzyme, buffer, and dNTPs) which simplifies the setup of PCR reactions and minimizes pipetting steps.
PCR Performance
Enzyme performance is confirmed by successful amplification of an 8 kb λ DNA template. Amplification of a single copy gene by PCR is also confirmed using a 2.9 kb human genomic DNA template and human p53-primers.Source:

Storage:
–20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws of TaKaRa Taq™ and dNTPs. Once thawed, aliquot into separate tubes and store at –20°C.
