Description:

Pfu Protease S is an endo-type serine protease with broad specificity for native and denatured proteins. Cleavage occurs mainly on the carboxy side of peptide bonds of hydrophobic amino acid residues.

Definition of Activity:

One unit of enzyme activity corresponds to the amount required to hydrolyze 1 mmol of N-succinyl Ala-Ala-Pro-Phe p-nitroanilide in 1 minute at 95°C, pH 7.0.
